Building Better Futures, the City’s youth and gang violence prevention initiative, is holding Community Engagement sessions to gather feedback and support from residents for the development of a strategic plan. The purpose of the strategic plan is to strengthen prevention and intervention efforts in the city as a means of reducing violence. Citizen participation is vital to developing this plan and all residents are encouraged to attend. Discussion will focus on how citizens are impacted by violence; strengths of the community; and possible solutions to crime in their neighborhoods.
