Newport News Children's Festival of Friends- Newport News Park
Over 100 free, hands-on activities including make-and-take crafts, rides (trackless train, moon bounces and slides), fitness activities, costume characters, educational exhibits, and displays by City Departments and community organizations that serve children. Free admission, $5.00 per car parking fee. Food vendors ($).

Third Thursdays Live!- City Center at Oyster Point
Enjoy local bands, food trucks, and beverages. Free admission, free parking. Food and beverage vendors ($).

King-Lincoln Park Day- King-Lincoln Park
The festival features a broad range of free activities for all ages including make-and-take crafts, free Bingo (ages 50 & up), sports activities, community exhibits, and entertainment. Kids will enjoy free face painting, a moon bounces, and giant slides. Everyone can enjoy free sno cones and free cotton candy! Free admission, free parking. Food vendors ($).

4th of July Stars in the Sky- Victory Landing Park
The event begins with free children’s rides (giant slides, moon bounces, obstacle courses), free face painting, and entertainment. A spectacular fireworks light up the sky over the James River at 9:30 PM. Free admission, free parking. Food vendors ($).

World Arts Celebration- City Center at Oyster Point
The diverse cultures in Newport News are celebrated through performances, exhibits of traditional art and crafts, authentic international food vendors, and free hands-on activities. Free admission, free parking. Food and merchandise vendors ($).

Newport News Fall Festival- Newport News Park
The festival features over 150 exhibitors showcasing crafts, heritage trade demonstrations, entertainment, children’s activities, a pumpkin patch, craft beer, and food. Free admission, $5.00 per car parking fee. Food, beverage, and merchandise vendors ($).

City Center Oyster Roast- City Center at Oyster Point
Enjoy roasted oysters, local seafood specialties, food trucks, and live music. Beverage sales benefit local charities. Free admission, free parking. Food and beverage vendors (pay-as-you-go) $.
