21st Century Policing Conversations
The Newport News Police Department launched a video series in September 2020 to address various issues law enforcement agencies across the U.S. are facing. In the first episode of our 21𝘴𝘵 𝘊𝘦𝘯𝘵𝘶𝘳𝘺 𝘗𝘰𝘭𝘪𝘤𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘊𝘰𝘯𝘷𝘦𝘳𝘴𝘢𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘯𝘴 series, Lt. Smith talks about the NNPD Critical Incident Stress Management (CISM) Team and its importance to helping officers handle stressful incidents and maintain their mental health.
