COVID-19 Updates: See here for opening/closing/cancellation information.

Youth Programs Families,

As the situation with the coronavirus (COVID-19) has evolved, we have been continuously monitoring the situation. Virginia Governor Ralph Northam has ordered the closing of all k-12 schools in Virginia for a minimum of two weeks. Under direction of our City’s leadership, Youth Programs will also suspend ALL programs beginning Monday, March 16th through Friday, March 27th to coincide with our Newport News Public Schools closing. During this time, we will be vigilant in cleaning and disinfecting frequently touched surfaces to help slow the spread of the virus. We understand that this creates a disruption and hardship for all of our participant’s families, and for this, we are deeply sorry. Please continue to monitor the situation and we will post updates as soon as they are available.

Casey Jenkins, Superintendent

Youth Programs is an out-of-school time care operation that prides itself on moving towards its goal of becoming the premier destination for before and after school activities. The program is structured to create a caring and fostering environment that will help children grow as they spend time playing, learning important life lessons, and getting involved in group games.

We are all about convenience which is why we have chosen to primarily operate in elementary schools (although we are also in our convenient community centers). This way here there are no cross town excursions. You can simply drop your child off and have peace of mind knowing that from sun up to sun down we will keep your child safe and active while in our care.
