The Office of the Commissioner of the Revenue is responsible for the assessment of various taxes mandated by the Code of Virginia and Newport News Local Tax Ordinances. Our office also offers, as a free service to Taxpayers, assistance in filing their Virginia State Income Tax Return. We seek to provide efficient service and friendly assistance in the performance of these many duties. |
